Hello to everyone welcome to Travel in Oaxaca, today I am going to talk about a National Park that is in Huatulco, in the previous post I talked about the bays and in more previous posts about other beaches like Zicatela or Puerto Escondido.
WHEN IT WAS DECLARED NATIONAL PARK?
Huatulco National Park was declared National Park the 24th of July of 1998. It has 118.9 km2 of extension.
CLIMATE
- The climate is warm sub-humid.
- Average annual temperature: 28°C.
WHAT TO DO IN THE NATIONAL PARK?
In the park you can do different activities like boat rides, interpretative hiking, snorkel and diving.
From October to April you can see the humpback wale migration in this national park, from September to March migratory birds and from June to November the presence of Marine turtles on the beach.
Other thing you can do is walk and swim in one of the bays of the National Park and get in love with this natural paradise.
HOW TO GET THERE?
From Oaxaca City you go by the highway 175 passing by the Sierra Sur and arriving to Crucecita Huatulco, then you go to Santa Cruz Bay were you can take a tour to see the 9 bays or a private boat to go to a bay of the National Park
