WHERE IS IT LOCATED?
This theater is located in the corner of Independencia and Armenta y López, in the historic center, you can do a lot of activities close, find hotels and restaurants of all prices and also stores and museums.
BY WHO AND WHEN WAS DESIGNED? AND THE STORY OF THE THEATER
The construction lasted 6 years, starting in 1904 and ending in 1909, it was in charge of the engineer Rodolfo Franco and has a french and eclectic style that is observed outside and inside.
At the start it was called Luis Mier y Terán and it was a casino, then it was called Jesús Carranza Theater and the last name is the actual name that is Macedonio Alcalá Theater.
In the theater a lot of events are done, and if you come to Oaxaca you can´t forget of taking your emblematic picture there.
