JALATLACO
Located in the center of Oaxaca, some blocks away from the Llano, this “barrio” has developed touristically in the last 10 years in an impressive way. It has a relaxing atmosphere with cafe’s, restaurants and rocky streets from colonization time. Ideal to have a nice night or afternoon with your couple or family.
In Jalatlaco you can walk in its streets, sit in the esplanade of the church, take pictures in the photogenic streets and I’m sure you will find the best spot for you.

SANTO DOMINGO CHURCH AND ITS SURROUNDINGS
Santo Domingo Church is an icon in Oaxaca, this church is even used as a reference point due to its proximity to restaurants, cafe’s and also because it is in the touristic walker, that connects touristic sites to the Central Park.
The trees in the border of the esplanade are a common place where various people spend time, some meters away there are some restaurants like Casa Oaxaca or Pitiona, cafe’s like Blasón and Carnaby Street the last one located in one of the two shopping malls close to this church, one of them “Plaza Santo Domingo” and the other one a little bit further, “Plaza San Jerónimo”.
In addition to these places, there are usually handcrafts or expositions in the surroundings, close to this place there are also hotels, galleries and stores. So I’m sure you will gave a great time in this zone.
CENTRAL PARK
One more of the places to spend a nice night or afternoon with your couple or family is the Central Park.
At the end of 2022 Oaxacan Central Park was renewed, and now is nicer to spend the time with your family or couple. In its surroundings there are a lot of restaurants and cafe’s of various types. Also you can find street food, like “esquites” and “tamales” that are very close to this place.
In the Central Park there are artists that play live music for you, toy and balloon sellers for the children. With these toys your children can have a fun time. In celebration’s time this place is decorated with lights and it gives a nice vibe.
