Terms & Conditions of Service

Last update: 5th of January, 2026.

Bespoke Nature of Service

All itineraries and experiences are custom-designed for the client. By engaging our services, you acknowledge that Travel In Oaxaca acts as a specialist curator, coordinating with private artisans, local chefs, and independent boutique providers to create a unique journey.

Booking & Deposits

  • Initial Inquiry: A consultation does not constitute a booking.
  • Reservations: A service is considered “confirmed” only upon receipt of the deposit specified in your personalized proposal.
  • Payments: Full payment must be completed upon booking confirmation or according to the schedule outlined in your final proposal. Accepted payment methods include Wise, PayPal, and direct Bank Transfers. Please note that any transaction fees are to be covered by the client.

Cancellations & Refunds

Given the exclusive nature of our private encounters (where artisans and hosts block their schedules specifically for you):

  • For cancellations made 16 days or more prior to arrival, a 50% refund will be issued, minus any non-refundable deposits made to local partners.
  • Cancellations made within 15 days of arrival: Non-refundable, as local partners have already been secured and paid.
  • We strongly recommend all travelers purchase comprehensive travel insurance.

Changes to Itinerary

Oaxaca is a land of living culture and unpredictable beauty. While we strive to follow the agreed-upon itinerary, Travel In Oaxaca reserves the right to make minor adjustments due to local festivities, weather conditions, or unforeseen closures of private workshops to ensure the quality and safety of your experience.

Client Responsibility & Safety

  • Health: Clients must disclose any severe allergies or mobility restrictions during the inquiry process.
  • Behavior: We maintain a respectful relationship with the local communities and artisans. We reserve the right to terminate service if a client’s behavior is disrespectful toward the hosts or the cultural heritage of Oaxaca.

Limitation of Liability

Travel In Oaxaca works with third-party providers (hotels, transportation, private kitchens). While we only partner with the most trusted professionals, we are not liable for injury, loss, or damage caused by these independent providers or for “Acts of God” (natural disasters, strikes, etc.).

Privacy & Image Rights

We will never share your personal data with third parties outside of necessary booking logistics. If we wish to take a photograph of your experience for our Oaxaca Edit or social media, we will always ask for your explicit verbal or written consent first.
