THE APOALA WATERFALLS, A NATURAL PARADISE OF THE MIXTEC REGION

Oaxaca has paradises and places of all kind and for everyone, from hidden and natural paradises to Oaxaca City. One of the natural paradises are the Apoala waterfalls that means “where they distribute the water”. Today were going to immerse ourselves in this place, let’s go.

The cascades are in the Mixtec region where the mixtec culture stablished. This waterfalls are at 114 km from Oaxaca City (2 hours and 30 minutes) in Santiago Apoala.

HOW TALL ARE THEY?

Apoala waterfalls were formed by the Apoala river, that flows in this region. When the river gets to the waterfalls it makes this amazing space with the waterfalls that get up to 50 meters.
